USING THE STOVE
Cooking in our cave is simple and enjoyable. To keep the cookware in excellent condition and ensure everyone’s safety, please follow these recommendations.
Keep the Flame Under the Pot
Always adjust the flame so that it stays underneath the base of the pot or pan.
A flame extending beyond the sides can:
-
Damage the handles and cookware.
-
Waste unnecessary gas.
-
Increase the risk of burns or accidents.
A medium flame is usually more than enough for most meals and provides the best cooking results.
Use the Right Size Pot
Choose a pot or pan that matches the size of the burner whenever possible.
Using cookware that is much smaller or larger than the flame reduces efficiency and may damage the cookware over time.
HOW TO REHEAT FOOD
As our cave does not have a microwave, we recommend reheating your meals using the stove or the steamer.
Using the Stove
Place your food in one of the pots or pans provided and heat it over low to medium heat, stirring occasionally to warm it evenly without burning.
Using the Steamer
The steamer is an excellent way to reheat food while keeping it moist and flavorful.
-
Add a small amount of water to the bottom pot.
-
Place your food in the steamer basket or on a heat-safe plate.
-
Cover with the lid.
-
Heat over medium flame for 5–10 minutes, or until the food is thoroughly warmed.
This method works especially well for rice, vegetables, fish, dumplings, and many prepared meals.
A Better Alternative
Reheating with the steamer helps preserve your food’s texture, flavor, and moisture, making it a healthier and tastier alternative to a microwave.

SAVE WATER – USE THE WASH BASIN
If you are staying for several days, please help us save water.
-
Fill the wash basin with warm water and a little dish soap before washing.
-
Remove all food scraps from the plates and cookware before placing them in the water.
-
Wash everything in the soapy water.
-
Then refill the basin with clean water to rinse all dishes.
This simple method saves a significant amount of water while keeping everything clean
HOT POTS & PANS
Please do not place hot pots or pans directly in the sink.
The sink is made of a special material that can be damaged or even melt if it comes into contact with very hot cookware.
Instead, place hot pots on the wooden trivet or another heat-resistant surface and allow them to cool before washing

Leave the Kitchen Clean
After cooking, please wash your dishes, wipe the work surfaces, and avoid leaving food scraps behind.
A clean kitchen helps everyone enjoy a comfortable stay while respecting the natural environment around the cave.

Thank you for helping us take care of our kitchen and our cave!
Dry Dishes Before Storing
Due to the natural humidity inside the cave, we kindly ask that you do not put dishes, pots, or kitchen utensils away while they are still wet.
Please allow them to air dry completely or dry them thoroughly with a towel before returning them to the cupboards.
Storing wet items can trap moisture inside the cabinets, which may lead to humidity, unpleasant odors, or mold on the wooden furniture over time.
